Drum roll...tadaaaa!!

I finally have my website up and running!  www.cathymichels.com

It seemed to require a lot of time: purchasing a new computer, scanning all of my paintings, deciding on the best website platform, designing the layout, figuring out the best way to offer prints, etc, etc.  But it is ready and my art is ready to be exposed to the world!...or at least my humble domain of followers.  :)

In all seriousness, I really appreciate all of you who encourage me and support me in my artistic efforts.  A lot of you are fellow artists and know how much that support means in terms of sharing our love of what's closest to our heart.  And all of us are creative; whether that is in the way we present our homes, the words we write, the gardens we grow, the gifts we give or the relationships we nourish.

So to show my appreciation, I am hosting a drawing for one free 8x10 or 8x8 canvas print of one of my paintings.  All you need to do is leave a comment on this blog and in your comment, please tell me which painting is the one you would like to win as a print.  One comment entry per person.  But if you would like to earn a second entry opportunity, just sign up for email updates from my website.  I promise not to flood your inbox with emails, but will share with you new artwork and some information about the piece, as well as, some fun little tutorials from time to time.

The drawing will be open until midnight, March 31.  At that time (well, actually, the next morning) I will put all of the names in a bowl and draw the lucky winner.  Yep, pretty high-tech.  The name will be posted on my blog on April 2 and you will have till April 10 to contact me with mailing information.

If you are interested in purchasing a print (and I would be delighted if you are) those are available through my portfolio on ImageKind.  To make it easy for you to locate, each painting in my website portfolio has a direct link to that painting on ImageKind.  Unframed prints are available in standard sizes or you can order them framed and ready to hang or as wrapped canvas panels.

Down the road, I plan to offer originals.  But since that is another level of commitment, pricing, shipping (and, frankly, letting go of my babies!) I am starting here.  Baby steps...
